Not cool
This is what I came into last week when I went in to get the girls after their nap. Lily was sound asleep in her bed and here is Ava.
I assumed Ava had fallen asleep because I didn't hear anything out of her for so long. Apparently she was busy sorting through her clothes that Lily emptied out of ALL of Ava's drawers.

Fun Stage
Ava is in a very fun stage. I mean that in a very sarcastic way. She now wants to take her clothes and diaper off all the time because she needs to go "potty." We are not potty training Ava because she hasn't been interested, but maybe we should at least explain the basics since she seems to think she needs to be naked to go potty.
I have found her multiple times in her crib naked, no diaper, and she has now pooped in her crib once and peed several times.
I will spare you the photos, just kidding . There are none.

Gymnast?
Ava has gotten quite coordinated. She can now jump off the stone fireplace with both feet (forward), which she was afraid to do a week ago. She also tries to do a bridge and go "backwards" off of it.
Lily's Purse
Lily loves this bag and calls it her "purse." She wants to bring it everywhere. Unfortunately, it's huge.

Storytime
Lily likes to have "storytime" with her dog and Ava. I think she looks like an eclectic story teller with her hat on. And as you can see, Ava is really into the story =)

Boyd's Orchard
Our church had a day at Boyd's orchard after church on Sunday so we went. The girls had a blast and didn't want to leave.
The girls enjoyed riding in the wagon to pick out a pumpkin.

The latest...
Lily and Ava have starting playing together a lot. Lily really likes for Ava to sit on her lap.
Apparently something was really exciting or scary. Note: the basket was not moving. =)
Finally, both the girls have a new love for Greek yogurt.

4 Year Anniversary
It's official. Ted and I have been married 4 years. Although last year it was really funny to say "we've been married three years and have two kids" I am thankful that this year we had two more years of marriage than the number of children we have...Ted was slightly disappointed =)
We went to a really nice restaurant in town that has a great rooftop seating area. It was a great night.

Beach Trip 2011
We had a great trip to the beach this year. The girls really enjoyed the ocean. They did not care to play in the sand but LOVED playing in the water.

Potty Training
I've decided to officially potty train Lily (and maybe Ava) after our beach trip. Lily has been weird about the whole potty thing so we decided to wait until she was ready. I think she's close to ready. I have been putting her on the potty after she takes a bath just to get used to it. Here is the conversation last night:
Lily sitting on the potty and looking down in to the potty: "Where did the pee pee go? Oh!! Mommy! It's hiding!! Pee pee, where are you?" Me: "When will your pee pee come?" Lily: "Maybe tomorrow."

Lily's "Certicifate"

...and no that's not a typo. That's how she says it.
I started video-ing the other night after Lily and Ted had been talking about her "certicifate" for about 3 minutes.
She talks about it almost daily. It is the certificate she got back in April when we flew to Charlotte to see my mom.
...and it's still a daily conversation piece =)
Ava's First Haircut
Ava got her first haircut this past week. Her hair grew a little quicker than Lily's. She was a little more apprehensive at first than Lily was...
But eventually relaxed and was entertained with the dog they had at the salon.
Lily was a good big sister. She told Ava in the car "Ava, it doesn't hurt at all!" I thought Lily would be upset she wasn't getting hers cut (because she loved getting hers cut so much) but she kept talking to Ava and was excited Ava was getting hers done.
But eventually relaxed and was entertained with the dog they had at the salon.

This past week our church had it's semi-annual children's service. We have not gone before but the girls really had a good time. They got a little ansy during the "sermon", even though the sermon was kept short. It was about forgiveness and they did a good job of relating biblical principles to children. There was music, singing, acting, preaching, and more music. The girls really enjoyed the music...

Pigtails
Two girls in diapers...and two girls in pigtails.
And, Ava has a new look. The head down, eyes glaring up look. She does it and then cracks up. Probably because we are laughing. The other night we had taken her pigtails out, which makes her hair crazy, and she did the look just in time. We think this goes down as one of the best photos we have =)
