Ted took Lily and Ava on a recruiting trip with him, which has been an adventure for everyone. Every time I talk to the girls on the phone they say "Mommy, this is so much fun!" even though they are driving 20 hours in two days in between recruiting stops to watch kids dive.
Ellie does not understand where her sisters are and has been back to their room to look for them at least 20 times since they left yesterday. This is her first thing this morning, looking for them...

Little Ellie

This is a little delayed, but Ellie turned 1 a few days ago! That is so crazy to type. I truly cannot believe she is already 1. Where does the time go? I guess it goes quicker with each kid.
What a year it has been!
We feel so blessed to have a happy, healthy child: we are still amazed that she is actually here, and that she is a thriving, vibrant little girl.
Lily and Ava couldn't wait for Ellie's birthday. They were so excited their little sister was turning 1. Ok, they were mostly just excited they got to eat cake. But, they were also excited to be able to say their little sister is "1" instead of always answering the question "how old is your little sister?" with "ummm....months?". It's a lot easier to say 1.
Oh, Ellie. You are awesome! We love you so much.

Ocean Isle 2013

We just got back from a week at the beach. It was extra fun this year because Lily and Ava were at an age where they were really excited about it. They love the ocean.
The boogie boards were the hit this year, they LOVED boogie boarding and spent most of their time on them...






They also enjoyed going out deep in the ocean to swim...



But most of all, they loved spending a week with their daddy. :)
